Job summary

AES is seeking a Manager for Automation, SCADA, Instrumentation & Electrical Control Systems in Houston. You will be the technical authority across DCS, SCADA, instrumentation, and protection interfaces for a Co-Generation and Hybrid facility, leading a multidisciplinary team.

You will establish control ownership, govern design deviations, and drive lifecycle management, cybersecurity, and readiness from design through operations. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/controls or related field.
• 10+ years in power generation controls or industrial automation.
• Experience with FAT/HIL/SAT and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain integrated SCADA, DCS, controls, and protection interfaces.
• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering team and coordinate vendors.
• Oversee FAT, HIL, SAT, commissioning, and readiness activities.
• Ensure lifecycle support, cybersecurity, backup, and config management.
• Communicate risks, decisions, and technical status to stakeholders.
