We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager – DDC, PLC & SCADA to lead multidisciplinary controls engineering teams delivering building automation, control systems, and industrial automation projects across the United States.

The successful candidate will oversee engineering design, technical delivery, quality assurance, team development, and coordination with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working for an AEC consultancy, an Engineer of Record (EOR) organization, or a Master Systems Integrator (MSI) engineering firm with a strong technical background in Direct Digital Controls (DDC), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), combined with proven engineering leadership, project delivery, and client management experience.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Essential industry experience: Must have worked for an AEC consultancy, Engineer of Record (EOR), or Master Systems Integrator (MSI) engineering firm.
• Lead, manage, and develop multidisciplinary controls and automation engineering teams.
• Oversee the design, development, and integration of DDC, PLC, SCADA, and BMS/BAS systems.
• Provide technical oversight of control system architecture, sequences of operation, specifications, and engineering deliverables.
• Manage engineering quality, design reviews, project resources, schedules, budgets, and technical risks.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, IT/OT, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Ensure compliance with relevant US codes, standards, client specifications, and engineering best practices.
• Build strong client relationships and support proposals, technical presentations, and business development.
• Hold a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline, with significant relevant engineering and team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of automation platforms and protocols such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation, BACnet, Modbus, or equivalent is desirable.
