Job summary

Bolder Industries is seeking a Senior Automation and Controls Engineer to provide enterprise‑level leadership for instrumentation, process control, and automation across multiple chemical sites.

You will establish corporate standards, drive high‑impact capital projects, and ensure safe, compliant operation of control systems for hazardous processes while balancing site needs with standardization and lifecycle optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering.
• 8–12+ years of automation and controls experience in chemical manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with major DCS platforms (PlantPAx, DeltaV, Experion, PCS 7).
• Experience with OSHA PSM, PHAs.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and lifecycle management of instrumentation and control systems.
• Develop FDS, cause‑and‑effect matrices, alarm rationalization.
• Design DCS/PLC/SCADA architectures with redundancy and high availability.
• Oversee FAT/SAT, commissioning, startup, and optimization.
• Support MOC processes and maintain OT cybersecurity hygiene.
