Job summary

Prent Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Automation & Controls Engineer to prototype, design, upgrade, and support automated systems. You’ll integrate state-of-the-art robotics, cameras, sensors, and servo motors while writing software to automate processes and synthesize IIoT data.

You will research emerging automation technologies, including robotics and computer vision, and communicate technical information to engineering, operations, and management. team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years’ experience in Automation and Controls.
• Ability to create and interpret technical documents including schematic diagrams.
• Experience configuring computers (networking, software, peripherals).
• Strong programming abilities in any language.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience designing and troubleshooting low voltage control systems is preferred.
• Experience programming industrial controllers and robots is preferred.
• Experience with Power BI and Data Visualization Tools is preferred.
• Subject matter expert for international engineering support.
• Ability to positively work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prototype, design, upgrade, and support automated systems in a collaborative environment.
• Integrate hardware including robots, cameras, sensors, and servo motors.
• Write software to automate systems, create user interfaces, and synthesize IIoT data.
• Research and develop emerging automation technologies – robotics, computer vision, ML.
• Convey technical information to engineering, operations, and management personnel.
• Work hands-on with systems to ensure they are built, commissioned, and function as required.
