Job summary
Potters-Industries in Apex, NC seeks an Automation & Controls Engineer to provide hands-on automation support across North American facilities, focusing on PLC, HMI, networking, and control systems.
You will design, troubleshoot, and standardize Allen-Bradley CompactLogix/ControlLogix, PanelView, and FactoryTalk applications, driving improvements in equipment reliability, safety, and quality while collaborating with operations and IT teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical/automation field.
- 3+ years commissioning and programming Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- Experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk View ME/SE.
- Experience with PanelView hardware and HMI development.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on automation and controls support across NA manufacturing facilities.
- Commission, program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
- Develop, deploy, and troubleshoot Rockwell FactoryTalk View ME/SE applications.
- Commission, configure, modify, and troubleshoot PanelView terminals.
- Diagnose I/O, wiring, and network issues in control systems.
- Lead automation troubleshooting and implement corrective actions.
- Support capital projects with controls design and commissioning.
