Job summary
Reynolds Consumer Products is seeking a Senior Controls & Automation Engineer for our Manufacturing Facility in Louisville, KY. Relocation assistance is available.
You will lead automation initiatives, optimize PLC/HMI systems, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve reliability and throughput. You will design control strategies, support startup activities, and mentor plant staff while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing
Qualifications
- Requires a technical degree and 6+ years of plant engineering experience with 3+ years in project engineering in manufacturing.
- Experience programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, ABB, and/or Siemens platforms.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation, control systems, and safety standards (NFPA/NEC).
Responsibilities
- Lead optimization of automation technologies (PLCs, HMIs, drives, networks) to maximize reliability and uptime.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering to improve equipment performance and process stability.
- Develop control strategies and automation solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency and safety.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to maintenance and operations staff.
- Lead automation projects, scope technical requirements, coordinate vendors, and implement improvements.
