Job summary

Reynolds Consumer Products in Louisville, KY is seeking an Automation Engineering Specialist to support, optimize, and continuously improve automated manufacturing systems. You will serve as the automation SME, partnering with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and union teams to maximize reliability, minimize downtime, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
2+ years of experience supporting industrial automation, manufacturing controls, or automated production equipment.
Experience in manufacturing/industrial production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize automated manufacturing equipment and control systems to maximize availability and reliability.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
Support installation, startup, commissioning, and validation of new automation equipment and process improvements.
Analyze performance trends and recommend improvements to increase reliability, safety, and efficiency.
Coordinate automation-related work with Maintenance Supervisors and contractors while complying with labor agreements.
