Job summary

TAI is seeking a Senior Automation & Controls Engineer/SME to lead control system design for complex pharmaceutical and life sciences projects from concept through commissioning.

You will guide technical strategy, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure automation solutions meet GMP, regulatory, and operational requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role with emphasis on design excellence and project impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor�s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required.
  • Master�s degree is a plus and PE licensure is preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years� control system design experience for construction documents.
  • At least 3 years in Pharma/Biotech/Life Science projects.
  • Experience with Rockwell PLCs, HMI, and PC-based analytics is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design reviews and ensure regulatory alignment for GMP projects.
  • Develop and review control system design documents and project specs.
  • Coordinate with Design Contractor and project meetings as needed.
  • Define design deliverables for CD/BD/DD stages and ensure traceability.
  • Provide technical guidance to work package teams and enforce safety standards.
