Job summary

Radiant, an El Segundo, CA-based startup, is seeking a senior automation and controls engineer to design, build, and implement automated production and test equipment for mass production and refueling of our microreactor technology.

You will work closely with design and manufacturing engineers to develop reliable systems, write PLC code, design electrical and control panels, and ensure compliance with NEC/NFPA/UL508A in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, physics, or computer science discipline.
4+ years of experience in automation and controls systems for industrial applications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and manage automation projects including equipment ideation and commissioning.
Architect, write, and debug PLC code for high-volume manufacturing.
Ensure ANSI/RIA R15.06, OSHA compliant systems for robots, conveyors, and equipment.
Design electrical systems compliant to NEC, NFPA, and UL508A regulations.
Generate simple HMI screens for easy operation and troubleshooting.
