Job summary

JCB is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to design, develop, and troubleshoot automated control systems for manufacturing operations in Pooler, GA. You will analyze system requirements, design control algorithms, and integrate hardware and software to ensure reliable equipment performance and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include developing control system schematics, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and guiding integrators to complete work per specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience as a Controls Engineer.
• Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, or Python and PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Experience with robotics, sensors, and motion control systems.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of NFPA/OSHA safety standards and electrical codes.
• Electrical design and controls implementation using DC/AC circuits.
• Ability to work off-shift as required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements and performance objectives.
• Design and implement control systems and PLC-based solutions.
• Develop and maintain control schematics, logic, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into equipment.
• Coordinate with integrators and verify completion of work.

• Support continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Advise other departments on projects.
