Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a driven Controls Engineer II to join our Greenville, SC team. You will design, implement, and document controls systems for automated equipment, collaborating with some of the industry’s top engineers.

You’ll troubleshoot robot controllers, ladder logic, electrical control devices, and peripheral equipment, perform power-up and debugging, and ensure designs meet specifications using standard techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree with >2 years relevant experience.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, Robotics, Mechatronics, Motion Control, Vision Systems and/or Programming.
• Experience with CAD (AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks).
• Ability to understand electrical/pneumatic schematic drawings.
• Travel up to 35–50% to customer sites & other JR locations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document controls systems for various types of automated equipment
• Troubleshoot robot controllers, ladder logic, electrical control devices, mechanical units, transfer devices and peripheral equipment
• Perform machine power up, debug and programming
• Ensure equipment is designed and programmed to specifications using standard techniques and approach
