Job summary

MARSHALLTOWN in Fayetteville, AR seeks an Automation and Controls Engineer to design, test, and optimize electrical control systems in our manufacturing facility. You will manage automation projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, and product specifications are met.

A successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally, bring hands-on problem-solving, and apply extensive industry experience to MARSHALLTOWN projects across forging, stamping, casting, welding,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
5+ years of progressive automation engineering and robotics experience.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical for electrical drawings.
Experience programming PLCs and HMIs (Allen Bradley preferred).
Experience designing safety circuitry for automation cells.
Experience with FANUC robots and Ignition is strongly preferred.
Experience with manufacturing equipment in forging, stamping, casting, welding, machining, and assembly.

Responsibilities

Specify, source, and test components for automation systems (PLCs, robots, vision, motors, drives, sensors).
Prepare detailed electrical drawings to facilitate fabrication.
Program PLCs and HMIs.
Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis to diagnose hardware and software issues.
Lead project activities to coordinate work among multiple engineering disciplines.
