Job summary

Design Group is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead automation projects for world-class clients. You will design control systems, program PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell), and implement HMI/SCADA using Ignition, FactoryTalk, or Cimplicity. Travel to sites for installation and commissioning is required.

You will collaborate with senior leaders, technical specialists, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions and drive project success in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years in controls engineering for automated manufacturing environments.
Experience in engineering/consulting environments preferred but not required.
Strong ability to design and troubleshoot control systems (PLC/SCADA).

Responsibilities

Develop automation solutions across project phases: design specs, software config, testing, commissioning.
Design automation control systems and create project docs/drawings.
Diagnose automation problems and interface with clients/vendors.
Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell); implement HMI/SCADA (Ignition, FactoryTalk, Cimplicity).
Manage projects, deliverables, and site construction/start-up activities.
