Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America in Phoenix is seeking a Senior Project Specialist to design, develop and commission industrial and building control systems from concept through completion. You will define system requirements, create I/O maps, specify hardware and develop PLC and HMI software to meet performance goals.

Travel to customer sites is required; you will troubleshoot complex systems, produce technical documentation, support project teams and sales, and guide the construction

Qualifications

• BS Engineering or equivalent experience/training.
• 5+ years in mission critical or industrial environment.
• 5+ years in HVAC/building automation.
• Knowledge of industrial and mobile PLC and HMI programming.
• Working knowledge with Ignition SCADA HMI.
• Expert level knowledge of CodeSys (IEC 61131-3), RSLogix (AB), AVEVA (Wonderware) and CX-Programmer (Omron).
• Knowledge in system data storage and transfer.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Determine design and performance parameters for control system applications.
• Determine system I/O maps and help specify hardware to meet requirements and growth.
• Design automation, industrial, and critical environment controls hardware and software.
• Develop PLC and HMI software to meet system requirements.
• Support sales by visiting customer sites to discuss technical details of solutions.
• Provide direction and support through construction.
• Perform and sign off on final testing/commissioning.
• Initiate final technical documentation for As-Builts.
• Troubleshoot PLC hardware and HMI/SCADA software.
• Provide technical support to technicians, customers and sales teams.
• Maintain current technical, interpersonal and communication skills through ongoing education.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Design to create Submittal and Panel Drawings.
• Maintain clean driving record and travel to sites as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
