Job summary

Zoetis, the world leader in animal health, seeks a Senior Staff Engineer-Automation to manage on-site industrial controls systems at our Lithia Springs, GA facility, aligning BMS, PMS, EMS and PCS with Zoetis standards.

You will lead design, implementation, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems, ensuring GMP compliance, coordinating with maintenance, vendors and audits, and developing training for the team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
Minimum 6 years automation systems experience in pharma/biotech.
Experience with GMP, FDA/cGMP requirements.
Proficient in PLC, SCADA, DCS programming and maintenance.
Knowledge of ISA-88/ISA-95 and GAMP standards.

Responsibilities

Gatekeep standards for new system architecture design and support installation of instrumentation and control systems.
Maintain Automation master plan for the site.
Manage life cycle and change control for all automation systems.
Troubleshoot instruments and control systems with maintenance teams.
Develop training programs for instrumentation and control systems.
Manage vendors and consultants with proper technical specs and delivery.
Stay updated on instrumentation and control technology standards.
Interface with users and management to align local and corporate standards.
Provide technical expertise during regulatory audits for compliance.
Review or approve SOPs as required.
Support implementation of automation infrastructure from conception to completion.
Support Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test.
