Job summary

Zoetis is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer for our Lithia Springs, GA site to manage on-site instrumentation and control systems (BMS, PMS, EMS, PCS) in a GMP environment. You will oversee architecture, lifecycle, and change control, while collaborating with maintenance, QA, and vendors to ensure compliant, safe, and efficient operations.

The role requires a strong background in PLC/SCADA/DCS, ISA-88/ISA-95, FDA/cGMP, and project leadership from conception through commissioning, with

Qualifications

Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining GMP-compliant automation systems.
Strong PLC programming, SCADA, DCS capabilities.
Familiarity with ISA-88/ISA-95 and GAMP guidelines.
Knowledge of FDA/cGMP regulatory requirements for pharma/biotech.
Ability to lead automation projects from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities

Gatekeep standards for new automation architecture and install instrumentation and control systems (DCS, PLCs, building automation).
Maintain site automation master plan and lifecycle/change control for automation systems.
Support maintenance teams with troubleshooting and calibration of instruments and control systems.
Develop training programs for instrumentation and automation staff and coordinate with vendors.
