Job summary

Humana is seeking a Principal Automation Engineer to define and scale enterprise automation strategies across segments, partnering with Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, Product, and Quality Engineering to accelerate delivery with AI-enabled quality practices.

You will lead frameworks with Selenium, Playwright, Tosca, REST Assured, and CI/CD tools in a cloud-native environment, mentor engineers, and drive standardized automation practices that improve speed, reliability, and software quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of software quality engineering, automation engineering, SDET, or software engineering experience.
• 8+ years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing enterprise automation frameworks.
• Deep expertise with automation technologies including: Selenium, Playwright, Tricentis Tosca, Cypress, Appium, API Automation frameworks
• Extensive experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), qTest, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
• Experience implementing automation solutions for web, API, microservices, cloud-native, and distributed applications.
• Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Continuous Delivery practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise automation architecture strategy and roadmap to drive scalable, standardized, and innovative quality engineering solutions across the organization.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Tosca, REST Assured, Cypress, Appium, and related tools.
• Build reusable automation components, libraries, utilities, templates, and accelerators to improve delivery efficiency.
• Implement and maintain automation integrations within CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and other enterprise delivery platforms.
• Drive AI-enabled testing strategies, tools, and practices across the organization.
• Provide technical mentorship to Quality Engineers, SDETs, Automation Engineers, and development teams.
