Job summary

San Bernardino County is accepting applications for Automated Systems Analysts (ASA) II responsible for server and network infrastructure support, plus second tier desktop support across County systems. Duties include system administration, troubleshooting, network design, server and database administration, and evaluating new technologies.

The current vacancies exist countywide; the eligibility list may be used for future openings.

Qualifications

Three years of full-time equivalent experience within last five years supporting Microsoft networking, desktops, AD, file/print servers, and coordinating user/desktop support.
Experience with three of the listed areas: Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019+, macOS, Linux, virtualization, mobile device support, backup/DR/DR, SAN, network infra, Entra ID, SCCM/CM, SharePoint, Tanium, Intune, Windows 365.

Responsibilities

System administration and advanced troubleshooting.
Network design and management across enterprise systems.
Database and server administration responsibilities.
Evaluation and recommendation of new technologies, capacity planning, and writing hardware/software specifications.
Vendor interaction and department coordination.
