Job summary

Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder’s Office is seeking multiple Senior Auto Title Technicians for our Lakewood and Golden motor vehicle offices. The role mentors staff, handles motor vehicle titling documents, collects taxes and fees, and assists the public with inquiries in a high-volume, customer-facing environment.

The position requires a minimum of 3 years of auto titling/registration experience, a GED or high school diploma, and a willingness to work across multiple branches.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in auto titling and registration using the DRIVES system.
• GED or High School diploma or equivalent.
• Equivalent Education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Mentor staff by assisting with difficult cases and answering questions.
• Assist with supervisory tasks during management's absence.
• Examine and determine legal acceptance of documents for motor vehicle titling and registration.
• Collect fees/taxes as required by law and guidelines.
• Assist the public with motor vehicle inquiries and resolve complex issues.
• Respond to questions about elections and marriage licenses.
