Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) in Skokie, IL seeks a Lead Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while using leadership skills to guide a tech team toward higher customer care and satisfaction.

The role requires ASE certifications within two years, ongoing paid training, and the ability to train others. Competitive wage range with benefits starts at day one for eligible teammates.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair and suspension/steering.
• Able to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math proficiency required.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, suspension and alignment.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology via paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within first two years.
