Job summary

Pep Boys in Dracut, MA is seeking a Master Technician with strong diagnostic and leadership skills to guide a shop team and deliver exceptional customer service. You will diagnose drivability, air conditioning and electrical systems, perform repairs to specifications, and explain issues and proposed solutions to customers.

This role requires 5+ years of automotive experience, 8+ ASE certifications preferred, Section 609 certification, a valid driver's license, and flexibility to work days,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years automotive diagnostic, repair experience.
• 8+ ASE certifications (A1–A8) preferred.
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment background check.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and A/C systems to specifications.
• Perform duties of lower technician levels as needed.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and others as required.
• Continuously learn new information in formal training to stay current with automotive technology.
• Assist fellow technicians in performing technical activities.
• Keep management informed of repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop.
• Adhere to company policies, safety, and environmental rules.
