Job summary

American Freedom Insurance Company is seeking a motivated analytics professional to join our growing team. You will analyze personal auto insurance performance across multiple states, develop dashboards, and provide strategic recommendations to improve pricing, underwriting, and profitability.

Expect collaboration with Product Management, Underwriting, Actuarial and IT teams, with a hybrid work schedule and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in property and casualty insurance.
• Experience in personal auto insurance, pricing analytics, underwriting analytics, or insurance reporting preferred.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience working with insurance performance data (loss ratios, premium, retention, profitability).
• Proficiency in Excel and ability to analyze large datasets and develop reports.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.
• Interest in leveraging AI to improve efficiency and insights.
• Familiarity with SERFF, rate filings, and state regulations is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain findings to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Analyze auto insurance performance across multiple states and core metrics.
• Evaluate pricing, rate changes, underwriting results, and product performance for trends and risks.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytic models; provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Conduct competitive market research and evaluate pricing and underwriting practices.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Underwriting, Actuarial, and other teams on rate, rule, and form changes.
• Assist with SERFF filings and regulatory inquiries as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability and customer experience through data-driven recommendations.
• Leverage automation and AI to streamline reporting and analysis.
• Prepare presentations detailing findings and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Explore new markets and product enhancements for expansion.
