Job summary

American Family Insurance seeks a Product Analyst to serve as the primary analytics partner to Product Management, delivering state-level performance monitoring, root-cause analysis, executive reporting, and strategic recommendations that guide profitable growth and improved business outcomes.

This flex office/home role requires collaboration with pricing, underwriting, and state management, with a minimum of 10 days per month in one of the AmFam locations, including Boston, MA, offering

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing product performance and providing data-driven recommendations.
• Ability to translate business questions into analytical requirements.
• Strong proficiency with SQL/BigQuery and Excel.
• Familiarity with insurance product design and pricing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis, insights, and recommendations to leadership that affect profit and growth.
• Develop reports and analyses on product development, underwriting guidelines, and channels.
• Identify root causes and present opportunities to improve product and business practices.
• Monitor product performance and propose changes based on data.
• Support pricing activities including rate reviews and P&L analysis.
• Translate business questions into analytical requirements and validate results.
