Job summary

Chase Auto, a JPMorgan Chase subsidiary, is seeking an Underwriter III in Auto Finance to review policy and pricing exceptions, structure decisions for profitability, and process auto loan applications with emphasis on speed and accuracy. You will drive ROE, volume, and conversion targets while delivering timely responses to internal and external inquiries.

The role requires strong credit expertise, knowledge of regulations, and experience with indirect, direct, and lease financing programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in credit auto.
• Experience reviewing credit bureau reports.
• Proficiency in credit decisioning and understanding of consumer credit regulations.
• Knowledge of indirect loan, refinance, direct and lease programs, and bank products.
• Expert knowledge of credit philosophy, policies and loan documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review credit applications and make credit decisions in compliance with policy.
• Assist in daily operations by reviewing policy and pricing exceptions.
• Structure decisions to maximize profit and strengthen relationships.
• Process automobile applications with focus on response time and approval quality.
• Meet or exceed ROE, volume and conversion targets.
• Initiate sales calls and prepare follow-ups as needed.
• Provide prompt, accurate responses to customer inquiries.
