You will evaluate coverage, secure statements, manage files, and coordinate with defense counsel to achieve favorable settlements while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of auto claims handling experience.
• 5 years minimum of full file auto claims experience for remote work consideration.
• Knowledge of legal terminology and medical terminology.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass written examinations to become a licensed claim adjuster.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigated and complex auto liability claims.
• Determine coverage and draft reservations of rights letters.
• Secure statements and obtain documents (police reports, medicals, photos).
• Manage litigation with defense counsel and experts and declaratory actions.
• Maintain diaries and proper reserves on open files.
• Research case law, statutes and coverage forms to adjust and conclude claims.
• Prepare and present claim evaluations for settlement authority.
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies.
