Job summary

Shottenkirk Honda of Rome is seeking a Body Shop Technician to repair vehicle bodies ranging from minor dents to windshield replacement, including painting and refinishing. The role involves collaboration with the General Manager, parts department, and other team members to ensure high-quality repairs.

Required are a high school diploma and 5+ years of body work experience, with proficiency in collision repair, body filler, sanding, and paint prep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years body work experience required.
• Experience with collision repair and vehicle body work.
• Experience with body filler, sanding, and surface preparation.
• Experience with body preparation, painting, sanding, clear coating required.
• Familiarity with structural and non structural repairs.
• Ability to properly disassemble and reassemble vehicles.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Clean driving record & valid driver\'s license.
• Must be able to supply your own tools, supplies will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Determine and repair damaged parts
• Communicate status of repairs clearly to General Manager
• Communicate with parts department to obtain necessary parts
• Document all repairs performed
• Document all materials used
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner
• Follow all company safety procedures
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous waste
