Job summary

Shottenkirk Honda of Rome is seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to repair and restore vehicle bodies, from dent repair to painting and finish work, in a fast-paced shop. You will work closely with the parts department and management to ensure timely, high-quality repairs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of collision repair experience, familiarity with body filler, sanding, coatings, and safety procedures, and a clean driving record with own tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years body work experience required.
• Experience with collision repair and vehicle body work.
• Experience with body filler, sanding, and surface preparation.
• Experience with body preparation, painting, sanding, clear coating required.
• Familiarity with structural and non structural repairs.
• Ability to properly disassemble and reassemble vehicles.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Clean driving record & valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to supply your own tools, supplies will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Determine and repair damaged parts
• Communicate status of repairs clearly to General Manager
• Communicate with parts department to obtain necessary parts
• Document all repairs performed
• Document all materials used
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner
• Follow all company safety procedures
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous waste
