Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Staff Auditor for the Retail Bank Audit team in Richmond, VA. You will execute internal audits across digital banking, branch operations, contact center, and small business banking, contributing to annual audit plan development while upholding ethics and standards.

You’ll leverage data analytics and AI tools to enhance audit effectiveness, build client relationships, and communicate results to management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
At least 2 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or a combination.
Experience with governance, risk and internal controls.
Experience using data analytics in audits.
Familiarity with AI tools in audit work is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess risk of business activities, potential exposures, and materiality of loss; design and perform audit procedures to verify effectiveness.
Design and execute internal control testing for moderately complex operations. Perform and often plan moderate difficulty audit tasks, demonstrating appropriate expertise.
Utilize data and analytical tools during all phases of audit delivery.
Establish and maintain strong client relations during engagements.
Begin communicating audit results to management through written reports and oral presentations.
