Job summary

SEPTA, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, seeks a Senior Manager, Audits (SAM 43) to lead the Internal Audit section and provide independent appraisals of Authority-wide financial and operational systems.

The role ensures robust internal controls, regulatory compliance, and efficient use of Authority resources across the Philadelphia region. Tenure requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of auditing experience, with strong MS Office proficiency and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required (Business Administration or related degree preferred).
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to effectively summarize and present information to management.
• Competency in MS Office required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in risk assessment activities for the department in identifying areas for audit or limited review analysis.
• Participates in the development of the annual operating budget and monitors actual costs against budget.
• Ensures that departmental policies and procedures are documented and followed.
• Develops and ensures compliance with structured procedures in the execution of audits and reviews.
• Writes, edits and approves written communications to Authority management from Internal Audit.
