Job summary

Sikich is seeking a highly motivated Supervisory Senior Auditor to lead audit engagements in Alexandria, VA, with additional work in Columbus, OH and Indianapolis, IN. This role requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.

You will supervise the audit team, perform testing to confirm accuracy and controls effectiveness, and prepare deliverables per standards. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; CPA/CPA candidacy preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting, auditing, or related experience.
• Financial statement audit experience and leadership ability required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and hold Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line supervision to a team of auditing professionals.
• Conduct testing to determine accuracy and operating effectiveness of controls.
• Prepare workpapers, findings, and reports per auditing standards and firm guidelines.
• Review team work products and develop staff through delegation and guidance.
• Act as primary client liaison, including leading meetings and coordinating deadlines.
• Execute tasks in line with internal schedules and client contractual deadlines.
• Leverage data analysis tools and AI to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness.
• Meet attendance and deadline expectations and participate in ongoing training.
