Job summary

Sikich is seeking a Senior Auditor to join our audit practice across multiple US locations, including Columbus, OH. The role requires leadership and advanced accounting skills, with a focus on testing internal controls and delivering high-quality audit work.

The position requires 3+ years of audit experience, a Bachelor’s degree (Accounting preferred), and a Secret clearance. Travel up to 25% is expected; CPA is preferred, and MS Office proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; accounting degree preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting, auditing, and related technical experience.
• Financial statement audit experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Minimum Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing to determine accuracy and completeness of amounts reported and to conclude upon the operating effectiveness of internal controls
• Prepare work products, including workpapers, findings, reports, and other written deliverables, in accordance with auditing standards and firm guidelines
• Review work products prepared by team
• Providing guidance to less experienced resources
• Own assigned work areas
• Execute tasks for assigned work areas in line with contractual deadlines
• Leverage technology, including data analysis tools and AI, to increase audit efficiency
• Meet attendance, punctuality, and deadlines
• Participate in training to grow competencies
