Job summary

CBIZ is seeking a Senior Associate with proven SEC engagement experience to coordinate audit engagements and supervise staff. The role includes planning, reviewing work papers, and ensuring compliance with professional standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Accounting/Taxation, CPA eligibility, and 2+ years of public accounting experience. Travel to client sites is expected; strong communication and technical skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
2 years of experience in public accounting or related field.
CPA candidates preferred.
Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize.
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels.
Proficient use of applicable technology.
Willingness to travel based on client and business needs.

Responsibilities

Coordinate phases of engagements, budget time and expenses, monitor staff performance.
Plan engagement and supervise staff; review work papers for accuracy.
Act as the in-charge field representative on engagements.
Own specific engagement aspects through to completion.
Review SEC filings and research accounting issues for compliance.
Manage risk and ensure quality control procedures.
