Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Staff Auditor focused on Credit Risk Management. The role is hybrid, typically 3 days in-office with Plano, TX as a primary office site, and includes opportunities to develop and deliver audits across risk control areas.

You’ll lead planning, execute procedures, document findings, and coach junior staff, while partnering with clients and teams to drive quality and timely insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 2 years of auditing, risk management, or financial analysis experience.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Economics or MBA.
• Professional certifications such as CFA or CRM are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop engagement planning documentation and audit programs.
• Design and execute audit procedures; document evidence and issues.
• Prepare clear audit work papers and findings.
• Communicate audit progress to team and clients.
• Plan and prioritize work; take on additional tasks as needed.
• Provide coaching to audit staff and junior associates.
