Job summary

Capital One is seeking an energetic Audit Manager for its Commercial Bank audits. The role focuses on operational and compliance audits, ensuring adherence to standards, and delivering high-quality audit opinions.

The ideal candidate will lead complex audits, develop robust planning and testing programs, and coach audit staff while maintaining strong relationships with business partners. This is a hybrid role with offices in Plano, TX among others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 5 years of auditing experience in commercial banking, financial services, or risk management.
• At least 3 years of leading audit engagements or in a project management role.
• 6+ years of auditing commercial banking portfolio (preferred).
• 1+ years of experience with data analytics tools in support of internal audit.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor the assigned audit universe for updates.
• Lead large, complex business unit and project audits.
• Develop engagement planning documentation and audit programs.
• Design and execute internal control testing as appropriate.
• Supervise and coordinate audit staff and provide coaching.
• Communicate audit process, scope, issues, risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Manage multiple tasks and ensure timely, quality delivery.
