Job summary

Capital One is seeking an energetic Senior Staff Auditor to join the Audit team focused on Credit Risk Management. The role emphasizes independent, proactive insights, data analytics, and coaching junior staff in a hybrid environment with office involvement three days per week.

Basic qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and at least two years in auditing or risk management; preferred qualifications include a master’s degree and certifications such as CFA or CRM, with additional experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 2 years of auditing, risk management, financial analysis experience.
• Master’s degree in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or MBA preferred.
• Professional certification such as CFA or CRM.
• 1+ year of Credit Risk Management experience at a large bank or financial services organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop engagement planning documentation and audit programs to cover risks.
• Design and execute audit procedures to verify internal controls and analyze evidence.
• Prepare clear documentation to support work, including draft findings.
• Maintain client and team relations and communicate audit progress to stakeholders.
• Self-prioritize work and manage multiple priorities to deliver quality results.
• Provide coaching and feedback to audit staff and junior associates.
