Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking a Senior Associate in Assurance in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on performing detailed audit work, applying GAAP, and delivering high-quality client service. You will collaborate with client management, manage tasks, and contribute to proposals and internal knowledge sharing.

Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, 2+ years of audit experience, and CPA exam eligibility. Travel to client sites is anticipated as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 2+ years of audit experience.
• Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Travel flexibility for client engagements and internal meetings.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed audit procedures over income statement and balance sheet accounts.
• Demonstrate solid GAAP knowledge for accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Deliver exceptional client service and build trusted advisor relationships.
• Collaborate with client management to identify issues and propose practical solutions.
• Take ownership of tasks, organize workflows, and ensure timely completion within budget and scope.
• Utilize technology tools and contribute to process improvements.
• Complete Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements.
• Support the proposal process with insights and firm capabilities.
• Contribute to technical publications and internal learning sessions.
• Represent the firm at campus recruiting events to engage top talent.
