Job summary

Ambition is seeking a qualified Audit Senior for a hands-on, client-facing role in North Carolina. You will own a portfolio of audit assignments, lead fieldwork, and serve as a trusted contact for clients and internal stakeholders.

You'll supervise juniors, review work, and help manage budgets while ensuring quality and compliance, including AML and KYC processes. This is a hands-on position offering development opportunities and a clear path to progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) and practical audit fieldwork experience.
• Experience delivering audit fieldwork across a range of client types and sizes.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and stay within budgets.
• Strong liaison skills with clients, partners, and senior stakeholders.
• Experience supervising junior colleagues and providing coaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of allocated audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Arrange and lead audit planning meetings and set engagement tone.
• Prepare or delegate key audit work within budgets and escalate complex areas.
• Monitor progress across engagements and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare going concern assessments and Key Audit Findings Reports.
• Supervise, coach, and review the work of semi-seniors and assistants.
• Contribute to billing preparation and share learnings with the team.
