Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking an Audio Project Designer to plan and coordinate audio requirements for produced events. The local expert will educate staff and sales teams on equipment and emerging tech, interfacing with multiple branches and warehouse personnel.

Position supports our Audio Visual & Event Technology team and involves an in-person, full-time schedule in-office and on show-sites in Las Vegas, San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Seattle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in live sound reinforcement with at least 5 years focused on corporate events.
• Ability to engineer instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Advanced understanding of analog/digital audio, acoustics, radio and electronics.
• Experience drawing system design in AutoCad or VectorWorks.
• Experience designing large-scale sound systems with full-range audio manufacturer equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop sound system designs and coordinate pre-production, onsite, and post-production activities in line with event budget.
• Create wiring diagrams and audio plots for shows and ensure staff understand them.
• Oversee equipment logistics and optimize inter-branch gear usage.
• Train staff to improve competency and maintain Freeman quality standards.
• Work on-site as Audio Engineer, A2, or RF Coordinator as assigned.
