Job summary

Musco Sports Lighting seeks a Senior Audio Engineer to lead design and optimization of professional audio systems for stadiums and large venues. The role emphasizes acoustic performance, signal processing, and cross-functional collaboration to meet customer needs and project requirements.

The candidate will provide technical leadership, develop testing procedures, and support installation, tuning, and commissioning, ensuring high-quality sound solutions and continued innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Acoustics or related field.
• Master's degree in Acoustics, Audio Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• 8–10 years in professional audio system design, acoustics or signal processing.
• Experience with large venues, stadiums or arenas highly desired.
• Experience with acoustic modeling and audio analysis software (EASE, SMAART, Soundvision, ArrayCalc).
• Professional certifications (AVIXA, SynAudCon, Dante) preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to lead cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and validation of professional audio systems for venues.
• Perform acoustic modeling and coverage studies for optimal sound.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate audio solutions.
• Develop testing procedures and evaluate prototypes for performance and safety.
• Analyze field data to drive product and process improvements.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineers and technicians.
• Support on-site commissioning, tuning, and troubleshooting.
