Job summary

Crestron Electronics Inc. is seeking a DSP Engineer to design and validate digital signal processing algorithms for audio and voice products, and to enhance voice quality, speech recognition, and overall acoustic performance across Crestron devices.

You will optimize algorithms for embedded platforms (ARM and DSP cores), collaborate with software, hardware, acoustics, and systems teams, conduct objective and subjective tests, and document results for product validation.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, DSP, Acoustics Engineering required.
• MS in Electrical, DSP, Acoustics Engineering preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in designing audio DSP algorithms in shipped products.
• Solid understanding of DSP theory and its practical applications.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and C/C++.
• Experience with audio signal processing, AEC, beamforming, and noise suppression.
• Experience with audio measurements using specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and tune real-time audio DSP algorithms for speech and audio applications.
• Optimize DSP algorithms on embedded processors to meet real-time constraints.
• Conduct objective and subjective audio testing and validate performance.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, acoustics, and systems teams.
• Develop and maintain scripts and test tools to support tuning and validation.
• Document designs, methodologies, and performance results.
• Stay current with DSP trends and advance expertise.
