Job summary

Apple, Inc. in Cupertino, CA, is seeking a Senior Audio Intelligence Triage and Integration Engineer for the Watch Software team.

You will investigate complex audio intelligence issues, reproduce logs, and coordinate testing across teams to deliver robust on-device and cloud-based features. You will build AI-assisted triage tools and scalable debugging workflows, requiring deep technical skills in macOS/iOS environments, Python, and shell scripting, plus experience with LLM-enabled tooling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development, quality, or reliability engineering.
• Strong debugging skills on macOS/iOS or UNIX-based systems and OS fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting; able to debug Swift, Objective-C, or C.
• Hands-on experience building tools/workflows with LLMs, including agents, skills, or MCP.
• Understanding of ML model evaluation/deployment and failure modes.
• Experience with bug tracking, source control, and CI systems.
• Excellent cross-team communication to drive issues to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Triage complex issues across the software stack from UI to on-device ML and system software; identify root causes and regressions.
• Analyze logs, crashes, diagnostics; identify trends and work with owning teams to resolution.
• Integrate software changes and provide patches to engineering and QA for evaluation.
• Design, build, and deploy AI-assisted triage tools and agentic workflows using LLMs, skills, and MCP.
• Build and maintain shared knowledge bases to aid triage accuracy for engineers and AI tools.
• Measure the accuracy and impact of AI tools and improve them based on results.
