Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino is seeking a Screening & Integration Engineer for the Watch Software organization. You will triage bugs, analyze logs, and prioritize issues affecting watchOS quality, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will leverage AI tools to identify root causes and help accelerate bug fixes, while improving our deployment and testing pipelines for a robust intelligent user experience on Apple Watch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Familiarity with consumer-facing software development processes.
• Expertise with bug tracking systems.
• Experience with source control (Git preferred).
• Familiarity with Apple OS, especially watchOS and iOS.
• Experience with automated build, continuous integration, and test automation systems.
• Familiarity with large language models and adjacent generative AI tools, including skills, agents, and MCP.
• Practical experience with command line tools, UNIX, Linux, or Terminal.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming bugs, and provide insights on trends and capacity in the incoming bug queue
• Maintain source code repositories, including branching for releases and tagging for submissions to the operating system build process
• Create continuous integration and automated test pipelines, assess their results, and escape regressions
• Assist engineers with understanding the bug reporting system, the build system, and other development infrastructure
• Develop innovative new approaches to scaling the craft of triaging bugs using artificial intelligence tools and other emerging technologies
