Job summary

Apple Watch software is seeking a Senior Audio Intelligence Triage and Integration Engineer in Cupertino. You will investigate complex audio intelligence issues, triage across the full stack, and build AI-enabled tools that scale the team's triage capability.

Work across interfaces from UI to on-device ML and system software, reproduce issues, analyze logs, propose patches, and coordinate testing with QA. The role demands deep debugging skills, proficiency with Python and shell, and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, quality, or reliability engineering.
• Strong debugging skills with macOS, iOS, or other UNIX-based systems, and OS fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting, and the ability to understand and debug Swift, Objective-C, or C.
• Hands-on experience building tools or workflows with LLMs, including agents, skills, or MCP.
• Understanding of ML model evaluation and deployment, and how they fail.
• Experience with bug tracking, source control (git), and CI systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complex issues across the software stack from UI to on-device ML and system software.
• Analyze logs, crash reports, and diagnostics; identify trends and coordinate resolution.
• Integrate software changes and provide patches for evaluation.
• Design, build, and deploy AI-assisted triage tools and agentic workflows using LLMs, skills, and MCP.
• Build and maintain shared knowledge for triage accuracy.
• Measure AI tool accuracy and impact and improve accordingly.
