Job summary

AutoNation Auction is seeking an experienced Auction Advanced Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles within AutoNation Auction standards. The role requires attention to safety, accurate documentation, and ongoing familiarity with diagnostic methods.

The candidate should have 3+ years of automotive technician experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. Training and promotional opportunities are available across AutoNation’s nationwide network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 3+ years automotive technician experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the cause of malfunction and note recommendations on inspection sheet.
• Perform needed repairs upon approval from Management.
• Communicate with Auction Inspection Manager about parts needed.
• Perform work with efficiency and accuracy.
• Record all work and complete the work order in the Auction System.
• Stay current in diagnostic methods and service techniques.
• Follow regulations on disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Communicate with Auction Inspection Manager to confirm repair information.
• Familiarize with bulletins, service manuals and other publications.
