Job summary

AutoNation Auction is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to AutoNation Auction standards. You will document inspections, order parts, and perform repairs with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include updating work orders, communicating with the Auction Inspection Manager, and staying current with diagnostic methods and service literature. Compliance with hazardous waste disposal rules is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of automotive experience or completion of a 2-year Auto Technology program plus 1 year verifiable experience.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic software and scan tools.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot basic to moderate issues.

• Diagnose the cause of malfunction and note recommendations on inspection sheet.
• Perform repairs upon approval from Management.
• Communicate with Auction Inspection Manager about parts needed.
• Perform work with efficiency and accuracy.
• Record all work and complete work orders in the Auction System.
• Stay current in diagnostic methods and service techniques.
• Follow regulations for disposal of hazardous waste.

Job description

The Auction Skilled Technician possesses a strong mechanical knowledge of all basic systems of a vehicle. The Auction Skilled Technician is responsible for performing vehicle inspections and repair as assigned in accordance with AutoNation Auction standards.Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $22/flag - $32.25/flag.
