Job summary

FloridaCommerce seeks a Senior Attorney to provide legal services to Department divisions under the General Counsel and supervisors. The role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, procurement documents, and providing legal opinions on federal and state law.

The attorney will handle bid protests and litigation, assist with rulemaking, and perform legal research to support program areas across the Department.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
• At least two years’ experience practicing law.
• Ability to provide clear legal counsel and opinions.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal services to Department divisions under supervision.
• Draft, review, and revise contracts and procurement documents.
• Handle bid protests and litigation at administrative and court levels.
• Conduct legal research and assist in rulemaking and legislation review.
