Job summary

Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP is seeking a Senior Attorney Recruiting & Development Coordinator to support the Washington, DC office's attorney recruiting and development functions, including the Summer Associate program. The role requires leadership in the DC program, school outreach, and data management, reporting to the Senior Attorney Recruiting & Development Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4–5 years of experience in legal recruiting in a law firm.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the DC summer associate program, including events and mentor assignments.
• Oversee DC summer associate work assignments and evaluations.
• Support DC law student recruitment, correspondence with applicants and attorneys, and Hiring Committee meetings.
• Coordinate law school outreach and campus events as needed.
• Support firmwide law student recruiting strategy and pipeline development.
• Maintain applicant and recruiting data in the firm database and generate reports.
