Job summary

The New York City School Construction Authority seeks a Senior Attorney (Litigation) to guide legal strategies on contracts, construction litigation, and liens. Responsibilities

• Represent the Authority at mediations involving construction contracts, disputes, and other matters.
• Oversee construction litigation and lien foreclosure actions.
• Negotiate and draft license agreements, contracts, and memoranda of understanding.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on complex legal issues with minimal direction.
• Provide general legal support to the Authority as required.
• Report to senior management regarding status and progress of assigned matters.
• Review and recommend changes to policies and procedures to improve compliance.
• Provide legal advice regarding contract and project closeout procedures.
