Our client is seeking a Senior Corporate Associate with 4-8 years of M&A and transactional experience to join its Corporate Group in Charlotte or Raleigh. You’ll work directly with a group of partners who handle some of the most active middle-market deal work in the region. This is a chance to take on real responsibility with significant client exposure.

The Partners You’ll Work With:

• Group leadership: Public and private company M&A, including auction processes for sellers and for strategic and financial bidders, plus commercial contracts and general corporate counsel
• Veteran dealmaker: More than three decades of domestic and cross-border M&A, divestitures, restructurings, and Section 363 sales, serving clients from Fortune 500 companies to startups and municipalities
• Private equity focus: Platform and add-on acquisitions for sponsors and serial strategic buyers across the U.S. and Canada
• Investment and venture focus: Minority investments, corporate venture funds, independent sponsors, and capital raises, alongside public-company and large-scale M&A

Key Responsibilities:

• Run day-to-day execution on buy-side and sell-side transactions, including diligence, drafting, and closing

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of corporate/M&A experience at a law firm, ideally AmLaw 200 or a leading regional firm
• Strong academic credentials
• Licensed in North Carolina, or eligible for admission
• Excellent drafting, communication, and client-service skills

This is a full-time role with an expected salary range of $220,000 – $280,000, commensurate with experience, with multiple bonuses to increase the total compensation. The firm offers unlimited PTO, 100% firm covered medical premiums, commuter benefits, a 401(k) with a match.
