Corporate Associate – M&A and General Transactional
A highly regarded, full-service law firm with a strong Southeast presence is seeking a Corporate Associate to join its Corporate practice group in Charlotte. This team advises public and privately held companies on complex transactional and corporate matters, with a significant focus on mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, and corporate governance.
This role is well-suited for an early-career transactional attorney who wants hands‑on deal exposure, meaningful client interaction, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners on sophisticated matters.
Base pay range
$200,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

What You’ll Do
- Support mergers and acquisitions from diligence through closing, including:
- Conducting and managing due diligence reviews
- Preparing and organizing disclosure schedules
- Drafting and coordinating closing documents
- Draft, review, and negotiate principal and ancillary agreements related to:
- Supply, purchase, and service arrangements
- Other commercial and corporate transactions
- Advise clients on general corporate and transactional matters with a practical, business‑oriented approach
- Collaborate closely with partners and associates across a broad range of M&A, corporate, and commercial projects
- Engage directly with clients and contribute to deal strategy and execution
What We’re Looking For
- 1–4 years of corporate transactional experience, including meaningful M&A exposure
- Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly understand complex commercial concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to ask questions and learn
- A collaborative, team‑oriented approach to practicing law
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Eligibility for North Carolina bar admission preferred (relocation support available)
